Lhaviyani atoll. The name alone evokes inner images of shimmering lagoons and tropical nights. This stunning beach is located on the latest addition to resorts in this atoll isAtmosphere Kanifushi. Here you can be carefree in more ways than one. In fact - in every way! Kanifushi is one of an increasing number of Maldivian resorts that have picked up on their guests need to unwind completely, not having to worry about the infamous "Bill-schock" at the time of check-out, but leaving in a daze of holiday spirit and love towards this marvellous destination. On Kanifushi, the package is called Platinum plus, on Kandolhu, for instance, it's called Ultimate Inclusive.Lily beach Resort has their Platinum Plan. It seems more and more visitors really appreciate being able to get some nice bubbly out of the minibar to sunset without wincing at the cost.
Beautifully presented a la carte dining is now available as part of extensive all inclusive plans on some resorts.
A very large number of the 100+ resorts in the Maldives offer the All Inclusive concept, but as mentioned above, some have started taking this to a new level. We found it really restful while visiting delightful little Kandolhu, staying in a crushinly romantic Oecan Water Villa with our own infinity pool it would have somewhat dampened the mood not being able to grab something from the wine cooler at sunset.
Hope to visit Kanifushi in the near future to sample their brand of AI. Also, on Atmoshpere Kanifushi they have something unusual in the Maldives, a pure vegetarian restaurant, aptly named JUST VEG, that already has earned a reputation for being absolutely top class.
Being something of a sucker for lovely bath rooms.....I had to share this from Kanifushi Sunset Villa. Rustic luxury. The Maldives style in a nutshell. Never, ever brash or bad taste. Low key, high quality. :-) //maldivesbug Linda
