Sunset view from Water Villa 513 on Kuredu Island resort on November 4, 2015. Stunning, isn't it? It is way better IRL though!! By now you all know I keep coming back here again and again. I have actually lost count of how many visits I have made to this paradise. What is it then? Well, the obvious, like endless beaches and wonderful staff apart, Kuredu is extremely versatile. You can tailor your holiday exactly the way you want and the clever way this resort is planned means you will hardly notice how others have chosen to spend their time on the island.
Are you a keen diver? No problem, the divers seem to keep their own, somewhat earlier time schedule around dive excursions and the excellent, world class, dive center ProDivers. Many, but not all, choose to stay in the slightly more rustic bungalows on the north side, more focused on the next manta or shark sighting than on a dip in a jacuzzi.
Honeymoon or other romantic holiday? Perfect! Stay in a Jacuzzi beach villa or a water villa allocated to more intimate Sangu, close to the famous sand spit and a superb, new infinity pool. Don't miss a wine tasting with knowledgeable Reeteesh. Have a 'Veli dinner' and/or spend a day on Dream island, just the two of you. Have some couple's treatments in the over water Duniye spa. Sublime.
Family vacation? Easypeasy. Beach Villa on the south side och maybe a bungalow on the north side, close to the central pool area, a few shops and the ice cream stand, Learn to snorkel together with your young ones and discover the magic under water life with them. Go on a sunset cruise and spend lazy days by the pool having yummy pizza for lunch from Franco´s without even having to get out of your trunks, just cover up a bit.
Special birthday? A group of friends? Every kind of holiday can be had here. There are several, really good, restaurants, and loads of activities, if YOU want to. Water sports, gym, golf, 2 spa, live music, excursions...etc, and do NOT miss the back of the House tour. Very interesting way to spend an hour!!
The sunrise is just as spectacular as the sunset. A cup of coffee, some alone time with the sun srising and a stroll around the island (less than 60 minutes) watching the baby sharks and rays waking up is pure magic.
As you understand from my puc above I was recently on Kuredu, meeting with some of the managment and relaxing like I cannot do anywhere else. Had a delicious dinner at fine dining restaurant The Beach with gentleman Rainer Steinhelben, Resort Manager, and the adorable Miss Pree, who is perfect as guest relations. Who could be mad at miss Pree? Impossible!!! :-) We dined in the candlelight under a midnight blue, velvet, starry Maldivian sky and I felt truly blessed. Thank you Kuredu. Again.
Below, a short clip from Kuredu beach. Do not hesitate. Just go! Kuredu website
