When browsing through travel websites and catalouges you can see masses of lovely Pictures of beaches on a number of tropical destinations around the World. When you get there - IRL - reality sets in. Suddenly there are hordes of other tourists who have studied the same website not realising that the pic was taken during OFF season. Apart from that, there ar beach vendors, abandoned dogs and all kinds of trash laying about. Photoshop has not helped us potential visitors one bit either making it possible to lay filters on to create whiter sand and water more aqua coloured., That's why Tripadvisor can be a great tool to get info and more realistic pictures. Indeed, there the problem might be the reverse - lousy holiday snaps does not do the destination justice!!
The above described is, however, not an issue when visiting the Maldives. The beaches (and everything else for that matter) are hair-at-the-back-of- the-neck-raising , stunning, snow white wonders. This Youtube clip is a sight for sore eyes taken on what my very well be the best allround resort in the Maldives . KUREDU. Every resort in the Maldives has got amazing beaches, but even here Kuredu stands out. A morning stroll before breakfast around the Island at sunrise watching another paradise day being born is soul restoring indeed. Why don't you go and see for yourself?
