Milaidhoo Island resort opened in Baa atoll in December 2016 and this dream destination is the latest addition to Universal Resorts impressive collection of Maldivian resorts. The wonderful Mr Ahmed Shuhan is GM, and with his extensive experience from sister resort, legendary luxury hot spot Baros, and not a few of Baros' previous staff members, this resort was always headed for success. Judging from reviews on Tripadvisor, the word 'success' does not really cover what is happening on Milaidhoo. The holiday tales are no less than gushing and I can't wait to see this place for myself!
Water Pool Villa
The villas are enourmous (245 sq metres) , all with a private pool. The decor is light and tasteful and the quality of everything is obvious. On MIlaidhoo the guests have got the opportunity to add an all inclusive plan - The Milaidhoo Gourmet plan" - of a very extensive and generous kind. I LOVE this initiative. Being on an island with no possibility but to choose what is on the island, even if it is paradise, can sometimes lead to a less than relaxing experience by the worry about that feared bill in the end. This makes for a completely restful stay. Well done Milaidhoo!!! With no more than 50 villas, it is also really impressive to have so much dining possibilities. The Shoreline Grill reminds me of Fogliani on Huvafen Fushi. The same laid back, feet in the sand, kind of lunch venue. :-)
I have also received some inside infor from some really seasoned Maldives travellers; Micke Salomon (Indcen Travel Bureau) and Jo and Dan at Angelfih Travel (Maldivesdirect) and they all sing the praises of this resort and, all of them are to visit for a second time soon! I HAVE to go soon.
