I often get asked about what kind of food can be expected in the Maldives. Many are under the mistaken impression that it is all very limited and rustic. People might be forgiven for not realising the astonishing array of different food and the outstanding level of cuisine that can be got in the Maldives, considering the location of the country. But, as through magic, and by enourmous effort and dedication, world class dishes and wines appear every meal, if you wish. How they manage to make it happen I still cannot understand. As a guest i have never seen anything being delivered to any resort except fish from local fishermen. It must be done at night.
